On 9th Sept 2012 Dubai Metro will celebrate 3rd anniversary. The most busy red line metro station in the past years found to be Dubai Deira City Centre, why is like that. The location. Deira city centre itself was busy with many visitors before even Dubai Metro introduced. So many visitors either visit the shopping mall or nearby area.

The Dubai Metro is one of the kind driverless and fully automated metro network which is some of the stations are in completion and other are still under construction. The Red line was opened with only 9 stations back on 09/09/09 and Green Line open Sept. 2011 with more than 15 stations.
These first two lines will run through out the city centre including two underground stations, Khalid Bin Waleed and Union Station. Most of the red line stations opened on 9th Sept. 2009, the Dubai Metro is the second longest fully automated rail system in the world. The Green line about 23km to be operational by Sept. 2011, the Dubai Metro train and all stations are fully air conditioned with platform edge doors. The metro stations are high standard with security features, fully automated ticketing machines, restrooms, kiosks, newspaper stands, public telephones, resting areas, transit, and customer services info booth.
DUBAI METRO RED LINE:
Most of the tourist attractions are located along the red line which starts from Rashidiya Metro station passes along the Dubai Airport to Nasser aquare and under the Dubai Creek crossing sea water above to the Main interchange station Khalid Bin Waleed Metro station which connect the green line. Above this metro station is the famous BurjJuman shopping mall.
Then the red line travel through Al Karama, Al Jafiliya, world trade centre and another attraction is at Emirates Towers Metro station. Here one can visit Emirates tower shopping boulevard, which is worth visitng, a very calm nice place with coffe shops and fantastic view of Dubai Financial centre and the two towers - Emirates Towers.
Red line from Emirates Towers, pass to Financial centre Metro station and to Burj Khalifa Metro station. Definitely you will need to make a stop at Burj Khalifa station, if you wish to visit The Dubai Mall, Water Zoo park, Burj Khalifa obsevatory tower, Dubai fountain and many more to see at this area around the downtown Burj Khalifa.
There are about three stations to pass before reaching Mall of the Emirates Metro Station, here there is another attraction at the Mall of the Emirates and that is Dubai Ski and the shopping mall itself. And if one need to explore more can continue to travel travel all the way with Dubai Metro on a smooth ride and after six Metro stations to Ibn Batutta Shopping mall.
As a visitor or tourist, this will be your last stop, then you can take a trip back wiht the same red line towards Al Rashidiya where is near the Airport, going back from the Airport to Sheikh Zayed Road, you will need to take Jebel Ali bound.

DUBAI METRO GREEN LINE:
Greenline of Dubai metro of about 23km, the 8km is traveling underground. It serve many major areas where government offices are located and also make it more easier to visit other Dubai attractions along the route. While the Red line connects many major Dubai attractions and high rise towers, to and from the Dubai Airport terminals.
Below are 17 Dubai Metro Green line stations and neraby areas of interest to explore if any:
1. Dubai Healthcare city Station:
Clinics and hospitals, Grand Cineplex cinemas, Wafi Mall and Grand Hyatt hotel.
2. Oud Metha Station:
Rashid Hospital, Cultural clubs, schools and other communities.
3. Khalid bin Al Waleed station:
This is undeground and change station between Red line and Green line. Most of the embassies located around this area, Burjuman Shopping mall and famous bank street - Khaled bin Waleed road.
4. Al Fahidi Station:
Here neraby areas are Dubai Museum , Bastakiya and Heritage house. Here is the closet to computer street, with so may IT shops around. Also Mena Bazaar and some hotels nearby.
5. Al Ghubaiba Station:
At this station is like transit where you can choose to travel by buses, taxi or boat. This is station located in the busy area of Bur Dubai near Bastakiya and Al Shindagha heritage area where is huge Carrefour, Heritage and Diving Village and bus terminal.
6. Al Ras Khor Station:
You can visit Gold souk, Spice souk and nearby areas such as public library.
7. The Palm Deira Station:
Hyatt Regency, Fish Market, Naif Street souks, and Deira corniche.
8. Bani Yas Station:
Naif Souq, Beniyas square and other areas of interest around.
9. Union Square Station:
Where it meet again with Red line Metro and is the largest underground Metro station. Areas of interest - Old Dubai shopd, hotels and government buildings such as chamber of commerce.
10. Salah Al Din Station:
Hotel and apartments, shopping dirstrict, Fish roundabout, Al Reef Mall and Al Ghurair shopping mall.
11. Abu Bakr Siddique Station:
Industrial area, aut reparis shops, Shopping malls are Hamarain and Al Warba Centres. Hotels - Traders and Movenpick.
12. Abu Hail Station: Shopping.
Abu Hail Shoppng centre, Sana Fashions.
13. Al Qiyada Station:
Dubai Police HQ, Al Mamzar, Al Mulla Plaza and local sport & other clubs.
14. Al Nahda Station:
Al Bustan shoppinf centre, Ministry of labour, Al Ghusais Mosque.
15 Dubai Aiport Freezone Terminal Station:
Al Twar Park, Union Coop, Shop N Save, Famous Restaurant Karachi Darbar.
16. Al Ghusais Station: Government offices, Al Twar Centre, Ministry of Education. Dubai court.
17. Etisalat Station:
Is the main station of green line; which have multi parking structure for metro users either from Dubai or Sharjah and other Emirates. This station is just off the Emirates Road.
Dubai Metro is fun to travel and to beat the traffic in Dubai, with prepaid on hand, you have nothing to worry about the ticket lines too. There is different level of classes, family, ladies and normal class. Announcement in the train are both in English and Arabic. You as a visitor, suggested to avoid to use metro during the rush hours:
- From 7am - 9am and from 4pm - 6pm.
- Fridays and Satrudays (Official weekends holidays in UAE)
- Public hoildays

Bus feeders to Dubai Metro Stations:
The main purpose of this excellent idea is to ease passengers travel time when they are on their way to Metro stations. MALL OF THE EMIRATES METRO STATION:
This area consist of Four Bus feeders:
F29 Al Baraha 2: This bus route will start and end at Mall of the Emirates (MOE) Metro station passing all the routes mentioned such as MOE Bin Lahej Building, Dunes Hotel, Al Barsha Noor Training Centre, Al Barsha Park 1, 2 & 3, Al Qiyam Boys School and back.
F30 MOE Arabian Ranches: Starts at MOE station, Salah bin Lahej building, MOE 1& 2, Barsha Lulu supermaket, Dubai American Academy, Avenue home and design, Mirador La Collecion 1 and 2, Al Mahra gate, Mirador gate1, Al Reem 2 & 3, Saheel gate 3, 2, 1 Avenue home and desing, interchange 4 last MOE station.
F31 The Meadows: MOE station, Rashid Centre for disabled, MOE1 & 2, Habtoor house, Sharaf DG Metro Station to the meadows and springs then back to the same route.
F33 MOE Al Barsha 3: MOE Station, SZR Coral Boutique Hotel, Al Barsha Habtoor house, Al Barsha streest and then back to MOE Station.
